SMEC Improves ENR International Design Firm Ranking
SMEC has increased its rankings in Engineering News Record (ENR) Magazine’s 2016 annual design lists.
SMEC has completed the 2015-2016 financial year on a high, having increased its rankings in Engineering News Record (ENR) Magazine’s 2016 annual design lists.
SMEC was ranked at number 48 in the ‘2016 Top 225 International Design Firms’ list, up three places from SMEC’s 2015 ranking. SMEC also improved its position in the ‘2016 Top 150 Global Design Firms’ ranking at number 69, a significant increase of seven places from SMEC’s 2015 ranking.
In its 2016 international market analysis, ENR reports that free trade has increased interest in Asian markets, with countries such as India welcoming foreign developers and investments.
SMEC has delivered key projects to clients in India since 1975, and was recently awarded the Excellence in the Services Sector Award at the AIBC Australia India Trade Investment Awards.
SMEC’s Chief Executive Officer, Andy Goodwin, commented ‘SMEC has a solid reputation in India for delivering important infrastructure design projects, including the Rohtang Highway Tunnel (one of the longest road tunnels in India) and Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project.’
ENR’s annual market analysis is based on global surveys of key construction segments. ENR’s design lists rank firms on size and design-specific revenue generated locally and internationally in a range of market categories.
