SMEC wins at Australia India Business Council (AIBC) Awards
SMEC is proud to have received the Excellence in the Services Sector Award at the AIBC Australia India Trade Investment Awards.
Held in Sydney, the event recognised the achievements of businesses and individuals making significant contributions to progress trade and investment between Australia and India.
SMEC’s Neil Evans, Director Strategy and New Business, accepted the award and commented, ‘This is a great achievement for SMEC. India is an important market for our business, and one where we continue to grow and strengthen our presence.’
SMEC has delivered key projects to clients in India since 1975, including the prestigious Rohtang Highway Tunnel (one of the longest road tunnels in India), Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project and the Assam Power Sector Enhancement Investment Program.
Established in 1986, the AIBC was founded to foster bi-lateral relations between the two countries.
SMEC has been engaged by Sarawak Energy to conduct the feasibility study and tender design for an extension of Bakun Hydroelectric Power Plant, located in central Sarawak on the Balui tributary of the Rejang River, Malaysia.Read More
