Snobal was recently profiled among some the leading Australian technology companies seeking to transform the construction sector, in Digital Foundations, a StartUpAus Report in collaboration with the Victorian Government, Acconex, EY & LendLease.
Snobal creates smart Virtual Reality (VR) tools to allow designers, engineers and city planners to collaborate on design in VR.
SMEC is working closely with Snobal on the Streamlining Hoddle Street Project in Melbourne, where Snobal has applied VR technology to the design of the Swan Street and Punt Road intersection, as part of the project. This has allowed SMEC to measure how end-users and stakeholders interact and feel about the proposed design before it is physically built.SMEC’s Daniel Gregor, Manager Transport Advisory, believes Snobal’s technology has been “influential in the road and urban design outcomes” with potentially huge impacts in terms of helping avoid rework and errors through the ability to make data driven decisions faster and more often.
