Today, SMEC delivers high quality technical services for the lifecycle of a project and provides consultancy services to a broad range of sectors including:

SMEC New Zealand Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of SMEC) was established in Auckland in 2011, with an initial focus on the energy sector, with growth plans across all infrastructure markets.
In New Zealand, SMEC currently offers services to developers, governments and utilities in a number of markets including transmission and distribution, thermal and geothermal and renewable technologies. Services span the lifecycle of a project, and include feasibility studies, design, construction supervision, dam safety audits, rehabilitation, asset management, private power development and financial planning and modelling.
SMEC New Zealand is led by a group of individuals with extensive experience in the New Zealand energy sector as well as with offshore development banks. The Company has a team of talented engineers with an enviable track record in the markets that they serve.
