SMEC believes that a participatory approach involving key stakeholders is essential to sustained community development. SMEC seeks to identify the needs of target groups and to develop appropriate partnership strategies in order to ensure that projects are manageable and sustainable. SMEC liaises closely with key community-based organisations, non-government organisations and government departments.
