Sabrina joined SMEC in 2008 and has over 16 years experience on some of Australia’s most iconic projects, which have shaped the nation’s water and energy security and redefined its transport networks.
She has worked on some of the most complex, underground civil infrastructure projects in Australia and overseas, including NorthConnex, Rozelle Interchange, Melbourne-Brisbane Inland Rail, Snowy 2.0 and the Adelaide desalination project.
She has experience in the design of tunnels, shafts and cavern linings in challenging ground conditions, ranging from hard rock to soft ground including subaqueous environments. Projects include TBM, roadheader, drill and blast pipe jacking and raise bore construction techniques. Sabrina also has a strong background in hydropower and pressure tunnels/shafts, as well as undertaking proof engineering, design review and compliance verification, certification roles and due diligence.
Sabrina has a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland as well as a Master of Science (Civil Engineering). Sabrina is a Chartered Engineer through Engineers Australia and a member of the Australasian Tunnelling Society.
