SMEC South Africa’s Chief Executive Officer, Logashri Sewnarain, has been elected a member of the Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) Board.

CESA is a voluntary association comprising over 600 consulting engineering firms with a collective workforce of approximately 21 000 individuals. Established over 70 years ago, CESA prides itself on its diverse membership base, encompassing companies of various sizes and ownership structures.

Logashri has maintained a longstanding association with CESA, actively participating in different roles and committees throughout her career. In 2019, she represented CESA at the 26th World Road Congress in Abu Dhabi, delivering a presentation on the vital role of Consulting Engineering Associations in promoting governance, transparency and quality in the delivery of appropriate infrastructure solutions.

I am deeply honoured to be a member of the CESA Board. I look forward to contributing to CESA's commendable efforts in advancing excellence within the consulting engineering industry and supporting CESA's mission to promote quality infrastructure solutions and improving the quality of life of people by interpreting the environment and pioneering change.
