Thanks to its strong delivery and client support in the Cornubia Precinct, SMEC South Africa has been directly appointed for the preliminary design and optimisation of all major roads and earthworks for Cornubia Phase 2.
SMEC was previously engaged to provide the planning, preliminary and detailed design of the bulk infrastructure for all bulk earthworks, road access, stormwater systems, sanitation, irrigation and water supply. The recent appointments are a testament to the team’s technical delivery, local knowledge and excellent client relationships.
The scope of work for Cornubia Phase 2 includes design of all major roads, preliminary platforming of all sub-phases to optimise earthworks operations.
Cornubia Precinct is a 1,200-hectare sustainable integrated human settlement project located north of Durban in South Africa.
