Lesotho is a mountainous, landlocked enclave in Southern Africa. The Ha Mpiti to Sehlabathebe road upgrade traverses Lesotho from east to west and forms part of a future ring-road that will link the southern town of Qachas Nek with Thaba Tseka.

Upgrading sanitation facilities for 320 students at Tetteh Ocloo Boarding School for the Deaf, Ghana
Dr Seth Tetteh-Ocloo founded the Tetteh Ocloo Boarding School for the Deaf in 1966, which was the first of its kind. The school received minimal funding, so SMEC in Ghana was pleased to recently help in updating sanitation facilities for the 320 students attending the school.

Agricultural learning creates lasting revenue streams for schools, Philippines
After eight years of collaboration between SMEC and the Australian Foundation for Fostering Learning in the Philippines (AFFLIP), another significant milestone has been reached with the completion of the Mushroom Production Project in the Talomo District of Davao City. Benefiting over 21,000 children across seven schools, this project is a testament to the enduring partnership between SMEC and AFFLIP.

Using digital tools to assess 346 bridges and 1,840 culverts
SMEC was appointed by the Roads Authority of Namibia to visually assess 322 bridges and 1,839 major culverts for flaws, defects, and potential risks. The scope extended to all surfaced roads on the national road network.
