At Ozwater’25, SMEC leaders reflected on past lessons and shared their expertise to help shape a future where water is central to sustainable growth.

With water sitting at the core of sustainable development and being fundamental to a thriving society, it is arguably one of the most critical elements to manage as we look to catalyse the transition to a regenerative and resilient future. 

 

During Ozwater’25, SMEC contributed a range of technical presentations and posters. Our people have collaborated with clients, communities, and industry to capture experiences and learnings from diverse projects that have delivered positive outcomes.  

 

These contributions covered areas such as adaptive strategies, machine learning, water treatment innovations, and other practical solutions that are helping shape the future of the water industry. 

 

SMEC values forums like Ozwater’25, which provide a platform to exchange knowledge and highlight lessons learned, aligning strongly with this year’s theme, ‘Looking back, moving forward’.
