SMEC is providing a review of existing feasibility and environmental impact study reports, undertaking detailed design of all civil works, hydraulic steel structures, electromechanical equipment, transmission lines and substations and preparing tender documents.
SMEC will also complete Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and develop an Environmental and Social Management Plan.
Located on the Budhi Ganga River in the Far-Western Development Region of Nepal, the 20 MW Budhi Ganga Hydropower Project is a peaking run-of-river scheme.
The headworks of the project are located in a narrow gorge on the Budhi Ganga River. All major project structures are located on the left bank of the river.
