Gambat South Gas Processing Facility (Train II)

Our Role

SMEC was awarded the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to support the Engineering Procurement Construction Contractor (EPCC) tender process.

SMEC developed a FEED package detailing:

  • Technology selection
  • Equipment data sheets
  • Specifications
  • Preliminary layout plans
  • Tender documents

Project Overview

Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), had a sizable discovery of sour gas from the exploratory wells in Gambat South Block located in Sindh Province, Pakistan where installation of a gas processing facility is at construction stage. PPL now intends to develop another Gas Processing Facility as Gambat South GPF (Train-II) at a different location within the Block.

The GPF Train II is designed to receive the two phase well head fluid from different producing wells.

Upon completion, this Facility will produce 40 million standard cubic feet of processed natural gas and 12 million tonnes of LPG per day.
