Our Role
SMEC provided design including geotechnical analysis for all temporary and permanent underground works.
The Land Transport Authority (owners of the project) proposed the use of cut-and-cover methods to construct the tunnel.
SMEC’s design included several cut-and-cover methods and extensive soil improvement techniques to enhance the stability and strength of the predominantly soft materials on-site.
