Our Role
SMEC was engaged as Transaction Advisor to conduct a feasibility study for the procurement of serviced accommodation by means of a Public Private Partnership. The study was undertaken in accordance with PPP guidelines published by the National Treasury of South African government.
SMEC was subsequently engaged as Technical Advisor for the development phase of the PPP project cycle. This included bid management, tender evaluation and preparation of value for money and close out reports.
Project Overview
Located in Pretoria, this project comprises a new head office for the Department of Statistics South Africa.
Project scope includes the construction of a main office building, a data processing centre, a child care centre and refurbishment of the historic NZASM village.
