Our RoleSMEC provided capacity building services to approximately 6,900 people, which helped to improve knowledge, increase skills and ultimately improve basic services within the community.
Project OverviewThe project used the vast untapped resource of unskilled labourers to satisfy the increasing need for public services in George. The objectives of this project were to: alleviate poverty in the community through job creation; to supply basic services (paved roads); and to transfer skills from trained engineering professionals to disadvantaged individuals. This project helped to alleviate poverty, improve technical skills and provide continual social upliftment.
