Our role comprised a full suite of consultancy services to include architecture, civil and structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, quantity surveying and sustainability design solutions.
Treelodge@Punggol comprises 712 units housed in seven 16-storey residential blocks and is recognised for its environmentally friendly design, which maximises energy efficiency and reduces waste.
The development incorporates a range of green technologies and innovations for effective energy, water and waste management. These include north-south orientation of the buildings, solar panels to generate lighting for common areas, centralised recyclable refuse chutes and a rainwater collection system. Intensified greenery at the eco-deck, vertical greening along the columns of the residential blocks, green roofs at the roof decks and trees planted in the basement carpark to help to lower outdoor temperatures. The walls are made of concrete and foam, which decrease temperatures inside apartments and cut down the need for air-conditioning, thereby reducing electricity usage.
Treelodge@Punggol was the first public housing development in Singapore to achieve the Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum award.
