SMEC in Angola
SMEC has operated in Angola since 1995. SMEC’s first project was the provision of consulting services for the building of abattoirs in the South of Angola.
In 1997 SMEC was appointed as the Civil, Structural and Electrical Engineers for a large soft drinks bottling facility at Bon Jesus close to Luanda. Since then, SMEC has been involved in various public and private sector projects.
Since then, SMEC has been involved in various public and private sector projects. The largest of these were the upgrading and rehabilitation of the Bay of Luanda (Baia de Luanda) which included all consulting services from the feasibility studies through to detail design and contract implementation. This was a major improvement of public facilities and the quality of living for the citizens of Luanda.
