Supporting
communities
around
the
world
through
the
SMEC
Foundation
Each year, the SMEC Foundation partners with our generous Alumni donors and Australian registered charities to improve the quality of life for people in some of the world’s poorest and most disadvantage communities.

Together, we fund projects that improve access to education, clean water, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods, bringing our purpose to life beyond the projects we deliver.

This year, we’re proud to support a diverse range of initiatives, from clean water systems to classroom refurbishments and environmental conservation.

This project enhances digital learning opportunities for Grade 4–6 students in the Talomo District. By funding 65 refurbished laptops, the initiative helps reduce the “learner-to-device” ratio and expands classroom access to digital resources. Through increased exposure to digital tools, students will develop greater fluency, confidence, and competence, bridging the gap between digital poverty and opportunity.
