As part of the Queensland Government’s long-term infrastructure strategy, this transformational project will enhance connectivity, increase capacity of the Gold Coast line, and accommodate the region’s fast-growing population with a modern rail solution.

Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail is one of Queensland’s largest rail infrastructure projects. The works will involve significant enhancements, including additional tracks, upgraded stations, and improved rail operations between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This will support future growth and provide a faster, more efficient experience for commuters traveling between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project is a vital component of Queensland’s transport future, ensuring that the region is prepared not only for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, but also the long-term growth along this corridor. The project also aligns with the Queensland Government’s vision of an integrated transport system that is efficient, sustainable, and accessible to all.

The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project represents a significant investment in Queensland’s future, unlocking the region’s potential by delivering faster, more reliable transport solutions.

The Alliance will now commence the design process and project planning activities and undertake further site investigations.

It is a fantastic outcome to be delivering the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. Our team is committed to delivering an innovative, high-quality solution that will benefit Queenslanders for generations to come. This project is a major step forward in transforming the region’s transport infrastructure making travel safer, more accessible, and better connect communities along the corridor. We are genuinely excited to contribute the knowledge and expertise from SMEC and work with our partners in the ActivUs Alliance to successfully deliver this project.”
