The Top 5 companies from 100 business sectors are selected by a team of research analysts who gather information from over 4,000 companies annually. Developed in conjunction with the Development Policy Research Unit at the University of Cape Town, the selection methodology considers a range of organisational performance measures including financial, social development and policy indicators.
In the category of engineering, SMEC was selected from among approximately 550 CESA-registered engineering firms in the country.
