SMEC
wins
architectural
and
engineering
design
of
staff
accommodation
facility
SMEC has been awarded the architectural and engineering design of the new GNGC staff accommodation, “The Gas Resort Complex”, in Atuabo, Ghana.

The Gas Resort aims to provide a solution for the accommodation of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant’s employees, visitors and stakeholders. This unique community development is designed around employee wellbeing and will offer communal gardens, swimming pool, tennis court and green gardens with impeccable new build quality and stellar resident amenities.

The Complex will comprise four different zones:

  • Zone A- The apartment zone, two 3-storey Buildings (86 studios and single room units);
  • Zone B- The senior management zone (16 units of single and 2-bedroom apartments in 2-storey villas);
  • Zone C- The Executive Zone (2 Executive villas with 3 bedrooms);
  • Zone D – The Public Area/ Future Expansion Area.

This is the first project in West Africa where both architectural and engineering design are being developed fully in-house by the SMEC West Africa team.
