The Flying Fish Point Seawall Upgrade project for Cassowary Coast Regional Council, located south of Cairns, has included 650m of rock revetment upgrade. The team covered concept through to detailed design, inclusive of regulatory approvals support, procurement services, construction supervision, environmental support and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) certification.

 

 

Providing concept through to detailed design

SMEC was engaged to provide concept through to detailed design services for the upgrade to the existing rock revetment between Scheu Park and Worth Park, located at Flying Fish Point, far north Queensland.

 

SMEC’s role included design services, approvals support, environmental science, development application, procurement assistance and construction management.
