AFFLIP Board members have also delivered two comprehensive workshops for teachers appointed as Digital Learning Coordinators across the 15 participating schools. The sessions were well-received, with Coordinators expected to cascade their learnings to colleagues at their respective schools. In addition, the Talomo region has held further training focused on cybersecurity, child digital safety, and effective use of the Microsoft ecosystem in the classroom.
Alastair Douglas, Founder of AFFLIP, emphasised the project’s impact, stating, “The Digital Learning Project is opening doors for young students in ways we never imagined. Through SMEC’s support, we are providing children with crucial skills that will set them up for future success.”

As the Digital Learning Project continues to grow, the enthusiasm and excitement seen in the participating institutions is testament to the project’s transformative potential. With sustained support and collaboration, the SMEC Foundation and AFFLIP are contributing to a brighter, more technologically inclusive future for young learners in Davao.
